5 Defining Moments

• At the age of thirteen I was arrested and almost charged with battery and arson (For me, the moment would be about how I decided to not do bad stuff “ breaking the law “)

• At the age of fourteen my computer broke (for me, the moment would be about wanting to learn more about computers. I decided to learn everything I can about computers.)

• At the age of fifteen my grandma died (For me, the moment was sad but at the same time I knew she lived a good life. I decided to live my life to the fullest and take every opportunity of fun.)

• At the age of seventeen my friend got in a fistfight and ended up in the hospital (For me, the moment was about fighting and how pointless it is. I decided that I would never fight over anything.)

• At the age of eighteen on my birthday I realized that I was an adult (For me, the moment would be about the past but more about the future. I decided to “grow up” and think about stuff before I do it.)

Box of Junk

Last class Mr. Morgan brought in a box and told us it was a box for junk. He said, " Bring anything in that you conceder junk and put it in this box...make sure this junk is not bigger than a loaf of bread..." but he never told us what this was for, I think it has to do with the book we are reading: Speak. I have yet to make a connection between them...

Today (9/7/07), We started class off with this academic dishonesty continuum sheet. As a class we started going down the sheet saying what we thought was harmless or sinister. At the end we where told that everything on the sheet would be punishable by the school. Almost the entire class was shocked, I found it pretty interesting myself, at lest half the stuff on the sheet didn’t seem that bad. In the end I guess we learned something about integrity. I thought that was important to make people relies what they do, but I don't think it will change anyone actions.
